Name: SEEDEA PLUS Microelectronics Laboratory, MSU–Iligan Institute of Technology
Inauguration: September 2024
Significance: First corporate laboratory established in the College of Engineering, fully funded by SEEDEA PLUS, a Japanese-owned IC design company, under the MSU-IIT CICD-Microlab Adopt-a-Lab Project
Focus Areas: Analog, RF, and mixed-signal IC design
Capabilities: Hands-on development of reusable chip-level IP blocks, including low-noise amplifiers, RF front-end circuits, and energy-efficient designs for IoT and wireless applications
Role: Serves as a hub for applied research, industry collaboration, and capacity building, bridging academic training with real-world IC design practices in the Visayas and Mindanao regions

houses the full-time researchers (IC designers (analog/mixed-signal/digital ICs, IC layout designers, verification engineers, PCB designers, hardware and firmware engineers).
kick off/installed during the 3.5-year implementation of µC-IC program project funded by DOST-PCIEERD (2017-2020).
a combined budget from USAID-STRIDE(INLIGHT project), DOST-PCIEERD(µC-IC program project), DOST-CIDR Project-4 and MSU-IIT.

Houses the MSEE in Microelectronics students.
